1. Basic Concept & Objectives

The **World Fighting Union (WFU)** is an international combat sports organization under the patronage of the **World Boxing Union (WBU)**.

The goal is to unite various combat sports under one ruleset, create comparable title structures, and provide athletes with a clear career pathway from amateur to professional — and to allow them to compete on professional fight galas in any of the listed disciplines.

The WFU:

* sanctions fights and titles

* organizes national and international championships

* provides unified rules

* awards official titles

* educates and licenses judges, referees, and officials

* promotes youth, amateur, and professional sports

2. Disciplines of the WFU

The following disciplines are officially sanctioned:

Striking & Mixed Styles

* Kickboxing (no knees)

* Full Contact (no low kicks, no knees)

* K1

* Light Contact (no knees)

* Kick Light (with knees)

* Semi Contact (no knees)

* Muay Thai with elbows

* Muay Thai without elbows

* MMA

* Combat Sambo

Traditional Martial Arts

**Taekwondo**

* Full Contact

* Semi Contact

* Forms / Kata

**Kung Fu**

3. Competition Divisions

A) Tournament Division (Amateur)

Fight time: 3 x 2 minutes

Children: 3 x 1.5 minutes

Titles:

* German Championship

* Continental Championship (e.g. European Championship)

* World Championship

Goal: grassroots sport, youth development, club fighters

B) Semi-Pro Division

All disciplines possible.

Fight times:

* Amateur bouts: 3 x 2 minutes

* National Championship: 4 x 2 minutes

* Continental (Europe, Asia, etc.) / International / Intercontinental Championship: 5 x 2 minutes

* World Championship: 6 x 2 minutes

C) Professional Division

Fight times:

* Prestige Fight: 3 x 3 minutes

* National Championship: 4 x 3 minutes

* Continental (Europe, Asia, etc.) / International / Intercontinental Championship: 5 x 3 minutes

* World Championship: 6 x 3 minutes

4. Title Structure

Types of titles:

* State Championship

* German Championship

* Continental Championship (e.g. Europe)

* Intercontinental Championship

* World Championship

Each title is awarded per discipline, weight class, and gender.

5. Sanction Fees Including Championship Belt

Semi-Pro:

* National Championship: €400

* Continental / International / Intercontinental Championship: €500

* World Championship: €600

Professional:

each + €200

* National Championship: €600

* Continental / International / Intercontinental Championship: €700

* World Championship: €800

6. International Structure

The WFU works with:

A) National Representatives

Each country may have an official WFU representative:

* for all disciplines

* or only for individual disciplines

**Responsibilities:**

* organization of national championships

* licensing of promoters

* development of structures

* selection of national teams

* contact person for clubs and athletes

7. Safety & Quality Standards

The WFU focuses on:

* medical examinations before and after fights

* licensed ringside doctors

* standardized protective equipment in amateur divisions

* weight classes

* age classes

* suspension periods after knockouts

* doping-free sport

* clear rules for each discipline
